The first phase of the revitalization of the old DMC ValMez complex has ended. Demaco will invest in further development here

In July 2022, the development company Demaco became the owner of the industrial area with an area of 13 hectares, which until then was owned by the production company Schott. It has long-term leased more than 38,000 square meters of production and storage space on the premises from the new owner. The agreement with Schott also included the construction of a new storage hall with an area of 11,150 square meters, which has now been successfully put into operation.

“We are delighted to announce the successful completion and handover of the first modern industrial hall. Our investment in this location creates new job opportunities and thus contributes to the economic development of this beautiful Wallachian region,” says Jaroslav Kaizr, partner and business director of Demaco.

Valašské Meziříčí is not only a city at the confluence of two rivers, but also an important strategic transport hub that forms the backbone network of the Zlín Region for connections with the Moravian-Silesian Region, Poland and Slovakia.

The DMC ValMez campus is currently fully occupied and the construction of two more halls with a total area of 28,000 square meters is planned for this year. The Demaco company builds its halls according to high technical standards and at the same time can adapt the internal layout, technology and external design to its customers.

“The DMC ValMez industrial park is gradually undergoing its necessary revitalization with the new construction. We create new utility networks, park infrastructure, and plant new greenery. In the next three years, we plan to invest almost one billion crowns in this park,” adds Jaroslav Kaizr.

New construction in the so-called “living brownfield” brings many challenges for the developer, but also benefits. The DMC ValMez area has mainly a connection to a high voltage of 110 kilovolts in combination with a high-capacity local distribution network and its own source of technological water. The proximity to the city center and the location by the busy road to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm means excellent accessibility to urban and intercity public transport, as well as good access for pedestrians and cyclists.
