While e-commerce drove the demand for industrial rentals during the pandemic, now interest from manufacturing companies is starting to prevail. According to our latest survey, in the first quarter of this year, manufacturing companies leased 57% of the total area of signed contracts.
“One of the reasons is the fragility of the supply chain, which became apparent during the covid pandemic and again after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. That’s why manufacturing companies are currently moving production from Asia back to Europe,” Ondřej Míček, Senior Industrial Consultant from Savills, comments on the situation in the Deník E15 article.
